Unlike semi-hardened pitons that mold to the rock, the LIVANOS holds securely by jamming; its specialized composition and heat treatment make it highly resistant to deformation when hammered into tight fissures. Note that this piton is engineered strictly for progression (supporting body weight only) and is not designed to hold a dynamic fall.
